01
Disassembly
Once authorization has been received, the auto body specialists at our workshop will begin disassembling your vehicle. Existing parts that are still usable are cleaned, wrapped and stored to ensure accessibility further into the repair process.
02
Parts Ordering
Although an initial parts requirement audit is completed prior to disassembly, further parts may be required. By removing external panels and parts, an in-depth view of the vehicle may bring to light further damage. In this instance, we will arrange additional insurance authorization while your vehicle is still in the body shop.
03
Panelbeating / Mechanical
Mechanical repairs are usually the most sensitive as suspension items are normally involved. These parts are critical to your vehicle’s safety, so it is crucial that this work is done meticulously. The panelbeating process is an intricate one with a fine balance between science and art. Panel beating also includes chassis straightening which rests on specialized equipment prescribed by manufacturers and performed by trained technicians.
04
Paint Preparation
Once panel beating has been completed, the panels need to be painted. After applying a protective primer coat to all repaired panels, they are sanded / smoothed to ensure a perfect paint finish.
05
Painting
Prior to the painting taking place, a scientifically accurate paint mix is drawn through detailed paint codes provided by the manufacturer. The paint technicians will then match the coded mix to the existing vehicle colour, which may have faded due to weather conditions. This process is an art performed by our highly skilled and trained paint technicians. Painting will then take place in a pressured oven. The air fed into the painting booth is filtered twice to minimize dust particles. The painting process requires precision and care to achieve a consistent paint finish. After the auto paint job is complete, the panels are baked at 60C for 45 minutes, ensuring the paint is firmly set.
06
Assembly
Now your vehicle is reassembled. This is a function that brings together the entire auto body repair process where all the parts, old and new, are refitted. Body panels are aligned and auto electrical, mechanical and all diagnostics and safety checks are completed to ensure that the integrity and quality of your vehicle is firmly intact.
07
